Animate Only Part Of A Sentence In Powerpoint

Animate Text on a PowerPoint Slide

Make Text Appear One Line at a Time

On the slide, select the box that contains your text. Select the Animations tab and then pick an animation.

Animate Single Words

You can animate single words in a name, phrase, sentence, or whole paragraph. However, when animating text in PowerPoint, the animation is applied to the entire paragraph. There is no way to animate only part of a sentence.

From Right-Clicking on an Item in the Custom Animation Panel

The Animate text drop-down box provides options for animating text, including:

  • By letter
  • By word
  • By paragraph
  • By emphasis
With Microsoft PowerPoint, it is possible to animate text to appear on the slide either one word, one letter, or one line at a time. This can be a useful way to emphasize certain words or phrases, or to make your presentation more visually appealing.
